Greenon Local Schools is excited to announce its annual Career Day, scheduled for Tuesday, February 6th, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The event provides an opportunity for students to explore potential career paths and learn directly from professionals in a wide range of fields.
The district invites community members from all backgrounds to participate as guest speakers. We are seeking individuals from diverse industries, including law and public safety, tradespersons, agriculture, construction, government and public service, human services, healthcare, veterinary science, and more. This diversity ensures students gain a broad understanding of the many career opportunities available to them.
Each speaker will present to four groups of students, who will preselect the sessions that align with their interests. This format allows for focused and meaningful engagement between speakers and students and gives students a glimpse into the day-to-day responsibilities of different professions.
“We’re thrilled to offer this chance for our students to connect with real-world professionals,” said Superintendent Darrin Knapke, “It’s a great way for our community and students to come together and make connections.”
Community members interested in participating as a speaker are encouraged to fill out the form on the district website at https://www.greenonschools.org/page/2025-career-day.
