The Greenon Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter recently organized a Drive Your Tractor to School Day event to celebrate agriculture and promote safety awareness.
This annual event serves as a testament to the strong agricultural roots of the Greenon community and the vital role that farming plays in our area. By inviting kindergarten through 2nd-grade students for an up-close look at the equipment, the Greenon FFA aimed to provide our youngest learners with an educational and engaging experience.
Ethan Cunningham and Nathan Boysel, two Greenon FFA members, shared that "the kids love to see the tractors and talk to the drivers. They always ask what they do and are very curious about them. The purpose of this event is to teach kids about tractor safety, and so the kids get to see tractors."
The Greenon FFA looks forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come, further enriching the educational experiences of Greenon students, and strengthening the bonds within our community.
