Welcome to the Greenon Local School District, home of the Greenon Knights! Greenon is the public school district serving students in the village of Enon, Mad River Township and Green Township, in Clark County, Ohio.

The Greenon Schools K-12 Campus, completed in August of 2021, is the educational home for the approximately 1,600 students, Kindergarten through 12th grade. Within the campus, the building is divided into two wings. Greenon Elementary is home to Kindergarten through 6th Grade and Greenon Junior/Senior High is home to 7th through 12th Grade.

With an educational program enhanced by athletics and several extracurricular opportunities, Greenon is proud to partner with supportive families and communities to offer outstanding educational opportunities in a student-centered environment.

Superintendent's Message

On behalf of the Board of Education, I want to welcome our students, families, faculty, staff, and community members to Greenon Local Schools! For those of you I have not met, my name is Darrin Knapke, and I am the superintendent of Greenon Local Schools. I became superintendent in 2020.

I began working for the district in 2010 as a principal at Hustead Elementary. I was also the principal at Enon Elementary from 2014 to 2017. I have served as the Director of Administrative Services and Special Education Director and became Assistant Superintendent in 2018.

I am married to my beautiful wife, Julie, and we have three sons, Logan, Noah, and Beckett. I received my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Dayton in 2005. I received my master's in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton in 2009. I also received my principal and superintendent licenses from the University of Dayton.

As Greenon Knights, we are committed to nurturing student success by building a culture of excellence in a safe, inclusive, innovative, and collaborative learning environment. We aim to empower every student to reach their full potential and become lifelong learners. We will continue upholding high education standards and cultivating an atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
