Greenon Junior/Senior High School To Honor Veterans and Active Duty Personnel at Annual Veterans Day Program on November 11Greenon Junior/Senior High School will honor veterans and members who are currently serving in the armed forces at the school’s annual Veterans Day program from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 11 at Greenon High School, 3950 S. Tecumseh Road, Springfield.

Mr. Ray O’Conor, author of “She Called Him Raymond,” a true story of love, loss, faith and healing, will serve as the keynote speaker. Mr. O’Conor’s book is about his namesake, a World War II B-17 fighter pilot.

Attendees will experience the Presentation of the Colors and enjoy patriotic songs performed by Greenon’s Royal Sound. The program will conclude with a luncheon reception served after the assembly.

Veterans, members who are currently serving in the armed forces, and their guests are invited to attend the assembly at Greenon Junior/Senior High School. Please RSVP for attendance by Wednesday, November 6 at (937) 340-6372.

To submit a photo for the slideshow, please email military pictures with the name and service branch to twalton@greenonschools.org or bring them to Greenon Junior/Senior High School or Indian Valley Intermediate School.
